national day of regret

i think that's what the day after st. patrick's day should officially be called. because we all know we feel it. i also think st. patrick's day should be moved so it's always on a saturday so that national day of regret won't be a work day. i know someone might read this and think to themselves that perhaps to avoid the regret one should avoid the revelry. and to that i say do so and the terrorists win. no one wants that. communist.

now, if you'll excuse me while i go forage for some chips and cheese dip to cure what ails me. hooray for regrets!!

is this thing still on?

ambitions. i have them.

plans to make them real. not so much.

if there's anyone still checking in on our defunct website i owe you an apology. months ago you received a post card that instructed you to come here for details about our wedding. you maybe came and found...nothing. wah-wah (debbie downer sound effect)

i had a dream of creating a space that was filled with information, tidbits about us, fun things about our life together so you could get to know us. that dream got sidelined when we (1) bought a new house in november, (2) moved in december during gross weather, (3) i got busy with classes and moving and taking a final exam on moving day (WTF?) and (4) i doubted that i'd have anything to say. that's probably the biggest reason this idea never took flight. i thought i didn't have anything worthwhile enough to say to keep you coming back. so i said nothing. and you never came back. this is self-fulfilling prophecy 101.

so we will call this attempt #2 at blogging. i will make more effort. maybe you'll come back?

in conclusion i will share with you my new motto: let's make better mistakes tomorrow! who's with me?
